KampGold UG Ltd is a Uganda-based gold trading company serving artisanal miners, licensed brokers, and private sellers across the country. We buy raw nuggets, panned and alluvial gold, gold dust, scrap jewellery, and smelted bars, testing every piece for purity before any figure is discussed.

The company operates out of a walk-in office on Next Minute Street, Kampala, with standing arrangements reaching mining and broker partners in Mubende, Kassanda, Busia, Karamoja, Mbarara, and Jinja. Sellers bring gold in, or in some cases we arrange scheduled collection for regular volume.

Why we test before we price

Gold trading in Uganda has a trust problem: sellers are frequently quoted a number before their gold has actually been weighed and assayed, which leaves room for the price to be built around guesswork rather than fact. KampGold’s process removes that gap. Every transaction opens with an independent weigh-in and a purity test (fire assay or XRF), done in front of the client, before either side names a figure.

Who we work with

Our client base splits into three groups: individual sellers with jewellery or small quantities of raw gold; artisanal miners with regular production to move; and licensed brokers moving larger volumes who need a dependable counterparty. Each is handled through the same testing and pricing process. The only thing that changes is the scale of the arrangement.
